Castable sonar maps what the sim can only guess at. Fishing drones fly a baited rig hundreds of yards past the breakers — as long as the payload rating clears the actual weight of your terminal tackle.

Deeper PRO+ 2 Castable Sonar
A sonar ball you cast on a rod. It maps depth, structure, and fish arches to your phone from the bank — no boat required.
tradeoff You are casting a $250 lump of electronics on fishing line. People do lose them. Use heavy braid and a good knot.
Garmin Striker 4 Fish Finder
A real transducer-based sounder with GPS waypoints, small enough to mount on a kayak. Mark a brush pile once and find it forever.
tradeoff Needs a 12V battery and a transducer mount. On a kayak that is an afternoon of rigging before you fish.
SwellPro FD1 Fisherman Drone
A waterproof drone with a payload release, built for flying a baited rig 500+ yards past the surf break and dropping it on the fish.
tradeoff Payload rating is a hard ceiling — bait plus lead plus rig has to fit under it. And drone fishing is banned or restricted in many places.
Gannet X-Release Bait Dropper
Bolts a mechanical bait release onto a drone you already own. Far cheaper than a purpose-built fishing drone if you have a capable airframe.
tradeoff Your drone is now carrying weight it was not designed for, over saltwater, and probably not waterproof. Know your payload margin.
Moocor Underwater Viewing Camera
A camera on a cable with a screen topside. On ice or in clear water it turns "I think there are fish here" into a fact.
tradeoff Needs clear water and enough light. In stained water it shows you a brown screen and nothing else.
Black Diamond Spot Waterproof Headlamp
Waterproof headlamp with a red mode. Red preserves your night vision and does not blow every fish off a shallow flat at 4am.
tradeoff Not fishing-specific, and the strap gets salty and stiff. Rinse it like you rinse a reel.
