Content on Fish Hook Labs, including the Rig Studio and everything it outputs, is provided for general informational and educational purposes. Fishing involves sharp hooks, moving water, and outdoor risk — use common sense, follow local regulations and licensing, and fish safely. We are not liable for how the information here is applied.

The Rig Studio is a tool, not an authority

The compatibility engine compares published specifications and stated tolerance windows. A build that shows no diagnostics has passed those checks and nothing more. It is not a certification of safety, seaworthiness, legality, or fitness for your conditions. Specifically, the engine has no knowledge of your local fishing regulations, the water on the day, or your own capability, and a clean build sheet does not override any of those. This is set out in more detail on the methodology page.

Where the studio touches equipment carrying its own safety requirements — vessels, waders, personal flotation, and aerial devices such as drones — you remain solely responsible for operating within the manufacturer's instructions and applicable law.

No guarantees

We work to keep guides, specifications, and rules accurate and current, but make no warranty that content is complete or error-free. Specifications are transcribed from manufacturer sources and can be misprinted or revised without notice. Prices shown are approximate street-price estimates, not live retailer prices; product prices and availability change without notice, so confirm details with the retailer before purchasing.

Acceptable use

Use the site normally. Do not attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or misrepresent its output as an independent certification.

Intellectual property

The content, catalog data, rule set, and design of this site are owned by Fish Hook Labs unless otherwise noted. Do not republish it wholesale without permission. Build links you create with the Rig Studio are yours to share freely. Brand and product names belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Links to retailers and other external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version; continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
